Rupi Kaur is one of my favourite poets and after watching her perform her poetry live, I have fallen even more in love with her work.

The poems in this book are very personal and they give you a glimpse into her life. Thankfully I bought it used so I did not spend a lot of money on it. It was a quick read, but I found the poems drab, and repetitious.

I am thankful that I did not download both books together, as I have no intention of reading the other book. I was speechless when I finished reading it.

So open, raw, candid and most of all relevant. I am very fortunate to have found a true love and he is part of my every day. But as in the book I have experienced in variation all the chapters, love, loss, trauma, abuse and healing.

The journey of being a women and those moments in life that makes us who we are. Some of the passages that touched me personally are on the following pages 53, 95, , and So glad that this artist took pen to paper.

I thought I was going to be reading very tacky rhyming poems but what I read was beautiful. Rupi Kaur brings the reader through the emotions that allow a young woman to stay connected to who she is, no matter what turmoil she has been through in her life.

Some poems are just basic sentences with random skips that have no real point, they aren't too lyrical, and it's literally just like reading a normal sentence. Celebrating new jobs.
